Course Details

Who is it suitable for?

This course is for applicants that have a level 2 qualification, and who are working in a Childcare setting. This course gives you right to practice as an early year's practitioner.

What will I learn?

You will discuss, research and produce assignments to meet assessment criteria including: Health and Wellbeing Legislation, Frameworks and Professional Practice Play, development, linking theory to practice in the Early Years setting.

How will the course be taught?

Lively, interactive learning through 1-1 tutorials, discussion, group work and class-based practice. This course helps you understand your clients' needs and gives you more information and greater insight.

Course details

Days and times of course: Friday, 9.30am - 3 p.m.

Length of course: 36 weeks

Start date: Courses start at the beginning of each term (September, January and April)

What related qualifications can you progress to?

Level 4 in Early Years, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services

You must be at least 18 years old at the start of the course. You will need to demonstrate that you have a good standard of education to cope with the demands of the programme (this will be assessed at the pre-course information assessment session and be able to demonstrate substantial recent experience in an EY setting assessment session).

Equipment required

You will need a level arch file and extra wide dividers highlighters and an A4 note pad to record important points of the session for reference for homework.
