Learning to look, learning to see! Grid drawing:
You will learn about drawing & toning skills following the grid method. Your tutor will explain & demonstrate how to implement the grid method in your approach to drawing & there will be practise exercises before you undertake a drawing of your choice, based on your own personal ability level & area of interest in regards to genre. In the doing of this you will have learnt how to scale up a picture & enlarge from its original size.
Once your drawing is completed, you will be guided as to which tonal & mark making techniques complement your idea, introducing light & dark shading range to complete the piece of art.
The grid method is a technique that has been used for centuries in art that involves dividing an image into a series of smaller, more manageable sections using a grid framework.
This is a fun course whereby the visual outcomes will speak positive volumes in regards to any preconceived perceptions of creative ability & will challenge these notions for the better!!
