You'll gain practical knowledge of the key components of digital marketing and how they can be used to reach, engage, and grow your audience, whether that's customers, employers, or supporters of your business or brand.

You will learn six main components of Digital Marketing:


Content Marketing: How different types of content can be utilised to create engaging messages for
your intended audiences.

Social Media Marketing: How we can use social media to effectively communicate with intended
audiences, be they customers or potential employers.

Search Engine Optimisation: How to use the unique value of your content to organically attract your
intended audiences.

Pay Per Click: How to create financed campaigns to ensure your high ranking in search engines.

Email Marketing: How to create email campaigns that serve your USP as a business.

Affiliate Marketing: How to understand the importance of seeking relevant partnerships that enhance
your business’s earning potential.

Course Entry Requirements

To enrol on this Level 1 course you should:


Be computer literate with the ability to confidently use Google Drive and Gmail.

Be confident in conducting basic searches using search engines.

Be keen and able to learn new digital platforms, which will enable you to successfully complete the
course (i.e. Canva and Google Sites).

Have a basic standard of written English.

Course Location / Delivery Method

CALAT Clock Tower / Classroom-based learning in a small group setting. The course runs for 9 weeks, with one weekly session of 5 hours. You will be asked to practise skills or develop ideas between sessions.

Additional Information (equipment etc.)

Please bring a pen, notebook, and folder. Access to a laptop or PC outside the classroom is helpful for practising the tools you learn in class.

Exams / Accreditation

This is a non-accredited course with no formal exam. You’ll be assessed through practical activities, including the creation of your own Google Sites website, showcasing the skills you’ve gained. A certificate of attendance will be provided on successful completion.
