Who is the course for?
The course is for everyone regardless of ability or experience and will be tailored to suit individual’s current levels.
What will I learn on this course?
You will be tutored and guided as to how to imaginatively interpret your chosen project outline and creative journey from research and sketchbook ideas to formulate your main creative idea. You will be taught about how the elements and principles of art (e.g. line, shape, form, colour, texture, unity, balance, perspective, proportion, etc.) helping to form a piece of creative work. Researching and learning about relevant artists from art history can inspire your creative thought process. You will develop basic drawing skills during this course as well as being encouraged to experiment with a variety of media.
You will also practise and develop problem solving skills, inner resilience and using creative language in a friendly, supported and nurtured classroom environment!
Course entry requirements
Nothing besides an interest and a thirst to develop your creative skills!!
Equipment required
A3 paper pad (100-140gms)
Sketchbook
Drawing media (HB pencil)
Eraser/ putty rubber/ Sharpener
Choice of colour media as preferred
Masking tape

The course will be held at CALAT Croydon Clock Tower.
