Title
Drawing for everyone - Learn to draw.
Who is this course for?
The course is for everyone regardless of ability or experience and will be tailored to suit individual’s current levels.
Beginner artists welcome. If you wish to challenge the idea of 'I can’t draw', with tutor support, learners will achieve visual results beyond their expectations!!
What will I learn on this course?
Learners will be tutored and guided as to how to actually look at line, shape, space and form within a drawing using a grid to help identify these elements of art in order to enable more precise and focused looking and seeing.
It is a matter of practising hand/ eye coordination and having an honest and discerning dialogue with yourself and the tutor as to precision and accuracy of your observational skills and drawn translation.
You will also develop a range of tonal and mark making skills and the suitability of different pencil gradients in order to shade your drawing to bring out contrast, pattern, texture, perspective and depth for example.
Maths and English will be involved in this course as you will need these skills for measurements and proportion/ scale and for communication regarding creative discussion and critique.
