Have discussed and investigated the techniques and life and times of the artists concerned

Have increased your knowledge and enjoyment of Art

Art in Europe and around the world and its development from the early 20th Century

Teaching/Learning Methods

Gallery trip.
Interactive presentation Lecture based course using high Resolution slides.
Directed independent study as well as group based activities.

Assessment Pattern

Your progress and achievement will be recognised throughout the duration of the course.

You will learn to evaluate your understanding and recognise areas for improvement with help from your tutor.

At the end of the course you and your tutor will discuss and record what you have achieved and what you still need or want to learn.

Personal research.

Further CALAT Art History courses which take a chronological approach to the subject.

Other notes

Learners will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements for trips.

You will be asked to complete necessary paperwork in order that CALAT can claim government funding to subsidise the cost of the course.
