AAT Access Award in Accounting Software - Level 1
Prior knowledge
A good standard of English and maths plus confidence in using computers.
What will I learn?
You will be able to set up general ledger accounts and record bank and cash transactions from a variety of documents, including bank statements. You will also be able to recognise potential risks to accounting software security and how to protect accounting software against threats. Produce a variety of reports such as trail balance and an audit trail.

Teaching / learning methods
Lectures, demonstrations and practical work. You will be required to do regular home study.

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Access Award in Accounting Software - Level 1
What extra work will I need to do outside the classroom?
You should expect to do at least 2 hours of work each week, regular practice on a computer and complete any homework set by the tutor.
Other notes
You are expected to attend every lesson, do the homework set by the tutor and to take all assessments.

To be considered for a place on an upcoming course you will need to attend an information & Assessment session to be held at 10:00 online via zoom on the following date(s):
Monday 12th April 2021.

If you achieved GCSE English and maths (grades A-C / 9-5) or functional skills in these subjects within the last 12 months please bring the original certificates with you to the session otherwise you will be required to complete the on-line English and maths assessment.

The total fee includes the cost of tuition,exam fee, text book and AAT registration fee.
Please provide evidence if you have registered with AAT within the last 12 months and the registration fee will be deducted at the time of enrolment.
Entry Requirements
No Prior knowledge, qualifications or skills required. You will be asked to complete all paperwork necessary for CALAT to claim government funding which subsidises the cost of the course.

Note pad and writing materials (pen, pencil, eraser) calculator.
