Who is it suitable for?

Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)

This course is for applicants that have a level 2 qualification, and who are working in a Childcare setting. This course gives you right to practice as an Early Year's practitioner.

What will I learn?

You will discuss, research and produce assignments to meet assessment criteria including: Health and wellbeing legislation, frameworks and professional practice play, development, linking theory to practice in the Early Years setting.

How will the course be taught?

Lively, interactive learning through 1-1 tutorials, discussion, group work and class-based practice. This course helps you understand your clients' needs and gives you more information and greater insight.

Days and times of course:

Start date: Friday 4 October 2024
End date: Friday 25 July 2025
Course duration: 36 weeks (not including half terms and bank holidays)
Every Friday 9.30am - 3 p.m.
Venue: CALAT Thornton Heath

Please note that learners must complete a work placement as an employee as part of their course, However, the placement must be within the London Borough of Croydon, as our assessors cannot carry out observations of work practice outside of Croydon.

What related qualifications can you progress to?

Level 4 in Early Years, Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services

Attendance requirements

You will need to attend the course on time and attend every week.

Funding is available for the course if you meet the eligibility criteria, which means that you may not need to pay the course fees. This can be discussed with you at your interview as individual circumstances may differ. You will need to bring the following documents with you on the day.
